Linux users in UTP have got a very dissappointing moment in UTP bcoz of the new need-to-login-to-Novell policy in UTP .. i was also affected by this .... however ... during im playin around with SQUID webcaching proxy, i discovered that SQUID doesnt need to be authenciated in order to access Novell BorderManager ..... so ... heres a brief explaination on how to do it

  • Grab your linux box

  • Install SQUID proxy in it

  • Read the docs

  • Set the Novell BorderManager proxy as parent in squid.conf

  • set your proxy settings to localhost

  • Now u r good to go
